The Marriott Sathorn Vista Executive Serviced Apartments are located on Soi Suan Plu in the center of Bangkok and very close the the main business district. At the time of writing, June 2009, these Bangkok serviced apartments are three months old and in excellent condition.. We stayed at these executive service apartments for 4 nights during June of 2009 and rate the apartments based upon our own personal experience of staying in a one bedroom, 75 Square Meter apartment with a living room, dining area and kitchen.. There are various apartment sizes ranging from studios to two bedroom apartments and we took a look at them all as well as all the facilities and amenities. |

We chose to stay here because we lived nearby and wanted to see how things were shaping up and so we booked in for a single night, checked out the next day and then checked back in again two days later. The reason for this was so that we could determine how we'd be treated for short stays compared to longer ones.
Before we checked into the apartments, we received, roughly two days before our stay, an email reminding us of our up-coming stay and laid out what we had booked.
On arrival we were greeted in a very pleasant and welcoming manner by young staff made up of attractive girls and handsome young men. None of the staff looked over 25 but they were efficient and polite. Our bags were carried for us and were placed on a baggage trolley meaning their condition was cared for and they were all kept together. We were also given a complimentary welcome drink and not just a watery and sugary tasteless mix. The drink was a very refreshing and cool homemade lemonade that was very tasty and the perfect refreshing drink. Full marks so far....
We had to wait a short while for the card keys to be programmed for our room and we were then escorted by one of the check-in staff to our room.

All the rooms are furnished to a very high standard and this includes the studio apartments. The only difference being the size of the apartments but for the purpose of this review we'll stick with our 75 Square Meter, one bedroom apartment with kitchen.
On entering the apartment, which is accessed by placing the key card into the slot on the door and waiting for the light to turn green, it is clear the apartment is new. The good sized kitchen has all new and modern equipment including a fridge, cooker, oven, microwave, kettle and even a dishwasher.
The cupboards contain sufficient cutlery, plates and glasses for 4 people and the kitchen drawers contain completely new and good quality kitchen utensils including bottle openers, ice-cream scoop, scissors and cooking utensils. All were laid out immaculately in quality drawers built into large, clean and white working surfaces. The kitchen itself was very spacious and would be comfortable for long stays.
The dining area has a small dining table pre-laid out for 4. The table is cheap and cheerful as as the dining chairs but they fit in nicely and do not distract from the rest of the apartment.

The living area is quite spacious with a 3 seater sofa and a single armchair. There is a new, 40" LCD Samsung TV with plenty of English language channels including news, movies, music and discovery programmes. There is also a DVD player but this didn't want to play our copied DVDs which we'd bought from the street. They might have worked had we sought help but we didn't explore that avenue further.
There is a small coffee table and two side tables with dim-able lamps.
In the corner is a small work area where there is also an Internet connection as well as other computer connections built into the wall which we assumed allowed you to connect your laptop to the LCD monitor for a larger display. The work area has a decent office chair and working in that area was easy and comfortable with ample space.
All in all, the kitchen and living areas were quite spacious and meant you could entertain a good number of guests without feeling cramped.

Our apartment came with a washing machine and drier as well as an iron, ironing board and a hair dryer. There was also a small storage room and plenty of extra storage cupboards.
